“Our Main Motive is to Promote Punjabiyat in the World”

Our Story

Jagat Punjabi Sabha (JPS) is a pioneer organization, working for the promotion of “the spirit of Punjabiyat” all around the world. Punjabi Business Professionals Association (Canada), a non- profit organization was established in 2012 . Jagat Punjabi Sabha(JPS) was registered under PUBPA in the year 2019 at Ontario, Canada . Basically these two are the same organization being run by same group of people. Punjabi Business Professional Association, Canada, Jagat Punjabi Sabha, Canada and Ontario Friends Club, Canada are planning to organize the World Punjabi Conference in the next year at Brampton, Ontario, Canada on the June, 2022. Our associate organizations had organized the ‘World Punjabi Conference 2009’ ( WPC2009 ), ‘World Punjabi Conference 2011’ ( WPC2011 ). PUBPA and OFC had organized World Punjabi Conference 2015 ( WPC2015 ), WPC 2017 and WPC 2019 in Ontario Canada. These conferences were attended by many dignitaries from the Federal Government as well as the Provincial Government . These include, Hon. Jason Kenney, former Immigration and Citizenship Minister Canada who had inaugurated the opening ceremonies of the ‘World Punjabi Conference 2009’. Hon. Harinder Singh Takhar, former Industrial Minister Ontario had inaugurated the opening ceremonies of the ‘ World Punjabi Conference 2011. Apart from these, the conferences were graced by many distinguished personalities from India also. Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Secretary UGC Grants, New Delhi, India was the Chief Guest of WPC 2015. Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal , a social activist and environmentalist was the chief guest at WPC 2017. Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal an activist and staunch environmentalist, was again the Chief Guest at WPC 2019, and he is contributing a great deal in cleaning and reusing the local rivers in Punjab. As mentioned above, MPs of the Parliament of Canada and MPPs attended those conferences. Honable Prime Minister’s message was read by Rameshwar Sangha. Honorable Premier of Ontario’s message was read by MPP, Amandeep Singh Sandhu. The opposition party leaders also made their presence as their messages were read by their representatives. These conferences were attended by many scholars, educators, intellectuals, writers and officials from India and other countries too. They presented their papers and shared their views / experiences and participated with great involvement. After attending the conference and sharing their feedback, All the scholars , delegates and writers were returned to their respective countries as per their time schedule. Our previous conferences were highly successful and attracted a lot of participation from local delegates too. As the conferences were totally genuine and are looked upon by the Punjabis all over the world, we are positive that our ‘World Punjabi Conference 2022’ is going to be a hugely successful. We may mention here that during the conference our main focus will be on the ‘Future of Punjabi Language’ and ‘Education System: World Perspective.’ Jagat Punjabi Sabha is the pioneer organization working for promotion of the ‘Spirit of Punjabiyat, that is, Punjabi Culture and Heritage all over the world. In order to take our objective to a higher level, JPS has planned a build a list of 101 prominent Punjabis chosen from all over the world who have contributed a great deal in their respective field or activity.

Punjabi Business Professional Association (PBPA) is non-profit association in Brampton, Canada. Members of this professional association are committed to promote the business, profession and general well-being of Punjabi Canadians.This association has brought together Businessman, Doctors, Engineers, Teachers and other professional from both Canada and India. This association also helps new immigrants to be part of canadian social fabric – interaction and integration with fellow citizens guidance on canadian landscape, job market, education etc. PBPA association offers interactive sessions with community leaders, social workers, role models, monthly / fortnightly meetings. The main objective of this association is to crate a positive awareness .of the high degree of contribution of the punjabi-canadian business and professional community. Key roles of their members is to help newcomers to integrate in Canadian society / living. PBPA also impart proper guidance on upgrading skills. PBPA arrange presentations by influential people in community (professional, religious, businessmen), which inlcude : – – Discussing the various issues faced by youth – Provide guidance on living a better and respectful life – A source of contacts to get guidance in times of need and difficulty Provide information sessions on joining the existing online community of working professionals that can provide ongoing guidance and career counseling.
